IGS Announces Terrence Deacon Will Be the 61st Alfred Korzybski Memorial Lecturer

The Institute of General Semantics is pleased to announce that the 61st Alfred Korzybski Memorial Lecturer will be anthropologist Terrence W. Deacon, Ph.D.

Dr. Deacon is a professor of biological anthropology and neuroscience and the chair of anthropology at the University of California, Berkeley.  He is the author of the book Incomplete Nature: How Mind Emerged from Matter.

The 61st Alfred Korzybski Memorial Lecture will take place on Friday evening, October 25, 2013, at the Princeton Club in New York City.  For more details on the event, watch the Institute of General Semantics website.
