Who better to begin our new online IGS lecture series than Trustee and Past President Martin H. Levinson! Join us at 7 PM EDT for a talk and discussion on

How to Improve

Your Thinking & Communicating Ability Using General Semantics

With all the cant and misinformation swirling around today, the ability to think, communicate, and process information clearly is more important than ever. This talk will offer formulations from the field of  general semantics, an almost 100-year old discipline dedicated to the study of the relationship between words and people, to help in those endeavors.

Martin H. Levinson is a Past President of the Institute of General Semantics and the Book Review Editor for ETC: A Review of General Semantics. He teaches courses for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Stony Brook University and the United Federation of Teachers Si Beagle Program. He holds a PhD from NYU and lives in Riverhead, New York.

The lecture will be held via Zoom. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Registrants will receive the Zoom link in advance of the lecture.
